Can anyone help with the movements in India of the 2/6th Sussex ?

I know they embarked for India in February 1916. I have them at :

1. An unknown location with Southern Bde, Secunderabad Div. March 1916 ~ December 1916.

2. At Ferozepore January & February 1917.

3. Then joining the 44th Bde at Ferozepore.

4. In May they joined the 45th Bde (I assume for the Waziristan FF).

5. Then going to The 43rd Bde in August 1917. Location unknown

6. Before going to Lahore in March 1918

I am trying to determine where they were before going to Lahore and whether at Lahore they were in the Cantonment or at the Fort.

Interest stems around events in Lahore and Amritsar in April and May 1919. I know their CO, Col. Frank Johnson, commanded at Lahore during the martial law period and elsewhere he is shown as the only wartime CO but I understand that the Bn went to Russia. So I am trying to track their movements after arriving in India before moving to Lahore and who remained in India after the unit sailed for Russia. Was anybody else apart from Johnson involved in the Punjab uprising ? When did he leave the Bn etc.

Alternitively I am mixing up cross ref's. Anyone have any ideas ?

Regards

Dave
