I'm after any details on the man below. He lived later joined the Police.

I'm not sure if the RFC and RM are his brothers.

He lived in Chester.

I have him in my 6th Cheshires database and presume he joined, along with other 11th Bn men, when that battalion was disbanded in July 1918. I have assumed that he is Bernard Alva Newman. Born Chester 1897. Married Mary Thomas in 1921, in the Wrexham area. Death in 1970 registered at Chester.

Good morning, just joined and seen this post as I was searching for a picture. I have been told that Bernard is a relative of mine, but the person who would have be able to give me more information has passed. This is what I have seen on his fb profile years ago
