My Aunt, Bertha HARVEY, was from Penzance, Cornwall.

She worked in the Post Office.

She is the one standing behind the girl at the end of the crack in the pic.

She had wavy dark red hair. She said that when she adopted the style of wearing her hair in a deep wave above the forehead, the other girls copied her.

Sorry, no.

My Aunt was the eldest, my Mother the youngest, with 20 years between them.

This is all the info. I have.

Kath,

I do not know if this assists.

I have a "Seasons Greetings" Card sent in 1917 from "Havre Signals".

The Card's Front has the Royal Engineers/WAAC Cap Badges and the White and Blue(Signals) Flags.

The signatory is Edith Flynn,Number 1730,WAAC.

I have no idea whom the signatory is and how it came into my Family's possession.I can only assume it was sent by a friend to one of my late-Aunt's who lived in Scotland.

Unfortunately I cannot post a copy on the Forum but you are welcome to a photocopy if you e-mail off-forum.

George

p.s. sorry if I have created a "Red Herring"
