now I know its only a tv prog

in last Fridays episode a chap had his feet/legs damaged by an anti personnel land mine?,

did they use these in ww1 ?? :w00t:

According to this site http://members.iinet.net.au/~pictim/mines/history/history.htmlthe Germans started using mines on a large scale in 1918 to combat the effectiveness of American tanks :huh: Why didn't the Brits think of tanks first :whistle:

I suppose if they really were using anti tank mines in 1918 they may have adapted them as anti personnel mines too.
