I read: Make Me a Soldier By: Arthur Behrend Gallipoli to the Somme By: Alexander Aitken My Bit By: George Ashurst All were wonderful accounts and I highly recommend all three, and am looking forward to reading more. Ste Posted 12 November , 2004 Share Posted 12 November , 2004 I have a copy of Gallipoli 1915, By Joseph Murray, who served in the Hood Battalion of the Royal Naval Division. It is many years since I read it, soI can't give a detailed recommendation. However, I recall it includes quite a lot about mining. Andrew P Posted 13 November , 2004 Share Posted 13 November , 2004 'The Desert Column' by Ion L Idreiss. He was a member of the 5th Light Horse Regiment and served at Gallipoli & Palestine.
