Droocoo Posted 22 May , 2015 Share Posted 22 May , 2015 Hi all, I am looking at a soldier's service file, and on his Casualty Form for Active Service it is marked: O.C.6 Berks W. at duty. In the field 31.7.17 Lieut Does this mean wounded?

Bennett Posted 23 May , 2015 Share Posted 23 May , 2015 The 6th Berks (18th Division) was in action on the first day of Passchendaele in Glencorse Wood and received intense MG fire just short of the Menin Road. However by 10 am the 6th had been able to capture Jargon Switch trench and the crossroads NW of Glencorse Wood.
