Hi can anyone please help regarding John W Low, he was in the R G A. John died in Lydd Military Hospital on 14 April 1915 aged 17.On the family headstone in Peterhead Cemetery it looks like he was in the family plot , but there is no sign of him on the CWGC records for Peterhead. Would anyone know if he was buried near Lydd Hospital what cemetery he might be in.Thanks in advance .

Oh so could it be that he might have been killed in an accident then, rather than in action.?

Mary

His place of burial indicates that he was not killed in action - had this been the case he would not have been buried in the UK.

It is possible that he died as the result of an accident of some kind however it is more likely that it was attributable to illness or disease.

His death may have been recorded in the local newspaper for Peterhead or indeed for Lydd.

Hello.

Gnr John Wallace Low (54284) has a service record on Ancestry. It states he died of Tuberculosis and Meningitis.
