Medal search 1/4 east yorkshire regiment

Good afternoon all,

I have recently tracked down my great grandfather and i now have his war records/medal cards. However, he died not long after the war and my familly do not have his medals. The cards indicate that he was awarded all three medals, 1914-15 star and the war, victory medals. I have searched a few sites and i have now been drawn to a blank.

I would like to ask if anyone has ever seen these up for sale of if they are in a collection anywhere. His details are;

1518 Pte david gibson. 1/4th east yorkshire regiment.

I've looked for my great uncle's medals without success but I've been told it's worth making regular web searches on the off-chance they come up for sale.

Thanks mike, like you said, i was just asking on the off chance. I might have to replace them with some replicas, not ideal but great for remeberance day.
