stevenbecker Posted 15 May , 2015 Share Posted 15 May , 2015 Mates, Sorry to bring this up but someone wanted to know what type of gas was used by us at 2nd Gaza? I checked all my sources but all stated gas was used but not what type? What were the 4000 so called gas shells fired at the Turks during 2nd Gaza? Any ideas Cheers S.B

Stuart24 Posted 15 May , 2015 Share Posted 15 May , 2015 Hi According to a paper on 'Chemical Warfare and the Palestine Campaign' by Yigal Sheffy in 'The Journal of Military History' July 2009 (an excellent article), the British used CBR shells, which were a 50/50 mix of phosgene and arsenic chlorine.
