Hi,

Can anyone tell me what this cap badge is please.

The CSM wears a different badge, is this for ID purposes?

Guy.

Bit of a guess, but I think the sergeant is Army Physical Training Corps and the rest are Cyclist Corps.

There was no APTC during WW1, it was the Army Gymnastic Staff and then, in 1918, renamed as Army Physical Training Staff, but you are all bang on with the cap badge and it is understandable to get confused with the title, which has changed over the years. He is a Sergeant Instructor (SI).

I think they are either Surrey Yeomanry (cap badge is a dead ringer), 25th Londons, or City of London Cyclists.

I agree with Old Owl and Frogsmile. The 2nd photo shows the Surrey Yeomanry, and not the 25th (County of London) Cyclist Battalion, because you can see the ends of the scroll bearing the Surrey's title "Queen Mary's Regiment" above the straight scroll "Surrey Yeomanry", whereas the Cyclists only has a straight scroll at the bottom of the badge.
