dbo Posted 30 April , 2015 Share Posted 30 April , 2015 Hi. My great granduncle was killed on Oct 20, 1915 in France, he was a soldier in the 11th (service) battalion, Cameronians. Service no, 15200. I know that his battalion was attached to the 26th Division and that they sailed for Salonika on November 1915, Was his division involved in any battles at the time of his death. Thanks in advance for any info ..
ss002d6252 Posted 30 April , 2015 Share Posted 30 April , 2015 They were withdrawn from trenches on 20 Oct 15 to billets. It looks like they had 2 killed and 1 wounded during their time in the trenches. Craig

ss002d6252 Posted 30 April , 2015 Share Posted 30 April , 2015 It wasn't a battle as such, it appears it was part of the general casualties which occurred whilst manning the front line trenches. Craig
