Just returned home from the local dawn service here in Armadale WA, great turn out I have never seen so many people attend as they did today. As promised to Forum Pal Michelle Young I spared a special thought for Ernest and placed a written tribute to him amongst the wreaths one the face of the memorial bearing his name. Rest easy Diggers, Lest we forget :poppy:

I went to the dawn service this morning with my husband at Amberley airbase.. I was also remembering my gg uncle . Who was one of lord kitchens men he sadly got wounded at Gallipoli. In the big battle and was buried in Alexandria. Only found this out some Years ago doing my family tree. Was very moving day . It was great to see such record crowds show up.

No worries Michelle your very welcome, it was a great honour to pay tribute to Ernie and all the others this morning. I just hope that the write up was ok, I tried to keep it to one page.

Best regards Keith.
