- Pte Atkin died after being run over by a train (Volunteer: Gary Wood)
- Labourer Tu Lien-Ho died of septicaemia in China before embarkation (Volunteer: Terry Denham)
- The first five CLC men above all died of tuberculosis in Canada (Volunteer: Mike Stacey)
- The next five CLC men died of tuberculosis or dysentery in Canada (Volunteer: Gregory James)
