sotonmate Posted 23 April , 2015 Share Posted 23 April , 2015 Mike You have managed to take me back to 2006,when I met some Australian High School students who were on one of Julie Reece's "Connecting Spirits" battlefield tours. It was there in Ypres that I learned about the plight of the Aboriginal soldiers who managed to serve but were forgotten/ignored after the war and were still ignored past the Millenium. The party I met had Aboriginal students. I was impressed with the fact that the students even did the colours ceremony at the Menin Gate during the evening, with one dressed in Australian Army cadet uniform. You might be interested in this website, where one of the pics shows the group from the very ceremony that I witnessed: http://www.connectingspirits.com.au
