Uncle George Posted 17 April , 2015 Share Posted 17 April , 2015 I stumbled upon this in, of all places, the excellent forum 'WW2 Talk'. A search on this forum revealed, to my surprise, nothing. But apologies if it has been posted before. The discovery of the latest tranche of these extraordinary pictures and the chair many were taken on provides a rare, tender view of those who fought." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/world-history/lost-portraits-of-the-somme-100-images-of-tommies-posing-before-they-went-over-the-top-now-can-you-help-to-identify-them-9638636.html
