Jennyford Posted 17 April , 2015 Share Posted 17 April , 2015 I usually post on the Women in War forum, but have a more general query and am hoping I've struck on the right forum. I need to know fairly urgently (correcting book proofs) the RAMC's way of writing 'doctor in charge'. is it 'Doctor in Charge', 'Doctor-in-Charge', or just 'doctor in charge'? Was it a proper title, or just a job description? would be really grateful for any info Jennian
Ron Clifton Posted 17 April , 2015 Share Posted 17 April , 2015 Hello Jennian The proper title was "Commanding Officer" (if we are referring to a medical unit, rather than to the medical officer with an infantry battalion or other fighting unit). Drop all hyphens and capitals and just say "doctor in charge". Ron
