Hi

I am trying to find out where the first battalion R. Scot Fusiliers would have been in June 1915

Ouderdom at the beginning and end.

The main event was an attack at Bellewarde on 16th. Jun 1915 where the battalion took 50% casualties..... Started with 18 Officers and 839 ORs. casualties by end 17th:

I Officer and 36 ORs Killed

2 Officers and 24 ORs seriously wounded

10 Officers and 199 ORs wounded

202 ORs missing.

sees like my man was lucky to not been listed above, he was discharged late in 1915 for sickness

Those figures are in the Regimental history, and are taken from the battalion war diary; they were compiled just a few days after the battle, as such figures are.

Final fatalities for the battalion were [my figures from Soldiers Died in GW etc.]: 1 officer and 119 ORs killed 16th-17th June 1915, and a trickle of another dozen or so ORs who died of wounds during July and August, many of whom probably came from this action.
