brownag Posted 15 April , 2015 Share Posted 15 April , 2015 In 1919 the 9th (Scottish) Division was renamed as the Lowland Division whilst it was part of the occupation army in Germany. Does anyone know if they continued to use the 9th Div's thistle or whether there was a Lowland Division badge? Thanks Adam

Thanks Adam I don't know for sure Adam, but some of the other Divs certainly retained their parent formation signs as it saved a lot of re painting etc. what was 34th Div, the chequerboard sign was one example and there seems even more likelihood when both had a Scottish origin. brownag Posted 18 April , 2015 Author Share Posted 18 April , 2015 Thanks FS. It would make sense to retain the old insignia rather than create new ones. Cheers Adam
