squirrel Posted 11 April , 2015 Share Posted 11 April , 2015 According to his family, captured 23rd November 1916 on the Ancre. Any clue as to where he may have been sent as POW? I have looked up the IRC website and have been unable to find him. It is also believed that he was awarded an MM and served with the Cameronians from 1919 until 1922. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

squirrel Posted 12 April , 2015 Author Share Posted 12 April , 2015 Thanks very much indeed chaps - greatly appreciated. Can anyone help with the meaning of PA9282, PA9752, PA9847, PA9879, PA10096 on the IRC record? Does anyone have the wording for Army Order 1913 of May 1919? ss002d6252 Posted 12 April , 2015 Share Posted 12 April , 2015 Can anyone help with the meaning of PA9282, PA9752, PA9847, PA9879, PA10096 on the IRC record? They're codes to the actual records - think of the card as an index card to the other records. Pop the code in the box on the right hand side and it'll take you to the records.
