nhclark Posted 11 April , 2015 Share Posted 11 April , 2015 Can anyone help me with any details about 822 Area Employment Company, Labour Corps, please? My interest: Reginald Ebenezer Watsham, originally Pte. R/31120 in the Army Remount Service (A.S.C.) transferred to the Labour Corps around October 1918 as Pte. 650689 and served in 822 Area Employment Company. Unfortunately none of Watsham's service papers have survived. Thank you, Noel
nhclark Posted 16 April , 2015 Author Share Posted 16 April , 2015 I can add a snippet of information to my own query. After much searching I found a war death on CWGC, that of Phil(l)ip Boswell, 449586, of 822nd Area Employment Company, died 13th December 1918 of pneumonia, buried at Tournai Communal Cemetery Allied Extension, Belgium. Which I think is sufficient to indicate that 822 AECoy was working in the Tournai area at around that time.
