midshipmanrayley Posted 10 April , 2015 Share Posted 10 April , 2015 Frederick Jesse Skoyles, 1887-1976, born in Hampstead, has two medal cards giving ranks corporal 279 and sergeant 279 in County of London Yeomanry, also given Captain Norfolk Yeomanry. Calculated he enlisted around July 1908 using service number 279. "The Gazette" has the following....Lieut (act.Capt) F.J.Skoyles relinquishes acting rank of Captain on ceasing to command a company (12th Yeomanry Btn. Norfolk Regiment), 1st April 1919. Can any member please help me find out exactly when he was commissioned and any details of his previous service with County of London Yeomanry.
