good morning all,

some LIVE information... this info just came in on the intranet... thought I'd share it with you:

Defence Laboratories’ Exhibition on 100 years of individual

protection against the threat of chemical weapons

In 2013 the Defence Laboratories (DLD) were congratulated by the OPCW for

their participation over many years in the select worldwide network of 20

laboratories, recognized by the OPCW for the identification of chemical

weapons . DLD is active in the field of CBRN (Chemical, Biological,

Radiological and Nuclear) and carries out chemical analyses, but it also has

great expertise in testing individual protective equipment such as gas masks

and protective clothing. The exhibition shows how and why individual

protection has evolved since the first gas attack in Ypres, now one hundred

years ago. The exhibition opens, together with the exhibition on OPCW, on

the eve of the centenary.

Practical info: De Kazematten – Bollingstraat 1 – 8900 Ypres – from 21

April until 26 April (Tue 4 p.m.–6 p.m., Wed–Sun: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.) – free

admission.
