Lancashire Fusilier Posted 8 April , 2015 Posted 8 April , 2015 I came across this rather good photograph and thought it worth sharing. Roop Roop, A nice photograph of what looks like a Mark IV Male Tank, and although most of the Mark IV's were made by Metropolitan in Birmingham, some were made at Foster's in Lincolnshire. Regards, LF
KONDOA Posted 10 April , 2015 Author Posted 10 April , 2015 Yes, this one is at Fosters in Lincoln. Roop
paulgranger Posted 27 April , 2015 Posted 27 April , 2015 I'm putting this item here, as it seems to fit nicely, though I'm not sure it shouldn't be in the Memorials section. Anway, have a look http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-32454648
NigelS Posted 27 April , 2015 Posted 27 April , 2015 Surprised - then again perhaps not - that the BBC's reporting didn't mention the other obvious connection between the memorial's location and the development of tanks NigelS
paulgranger Posted 27 April , 2015 Posted 27 April , 2015 Go on, you've got me intrigued. Is it the White Hart Hotel you are referring to?
