Anyone have any experience of researching the Order of St Gregory the Great ? To complicate matters (for me any way) he was an Englishman who lived in France. Only reference I have found to it is in his Times obituary

cheers

Seems there is no records kept. I believe jimmy Saville had an award of some sort from the order and it couldnt be revoked as there are no records kept

This site might be useful:

Not that you will find your man listed. But it is useful to see how the awards were made/ presented/ celebrated?. There might be reports in newspapers or church records, but I suspect that would be in France unless there was something in newspapers where his family lived.
