Pictured is a Gallipoli veteran who is wearing the unofficial collar badges of the 10th Australian Light Horse. The brass 'A' on his colour patch means the photo was taken after November 1917.

He has up the medal ribbands for the 1914 or 1914-15 Star and British War Medal as well - the latter means it cannot date before mid-1919 (and probably not far after, as the issue of the Victory Medal ribband started to follow only a few months later).
