chickadee2212 Posted 9 November , 2004 Share Posted 9 November , 2004 on http://www.documentsonline.nationalarchives.gov.uk you can look at the WWI index cards - but does anyone know what information in included on them?
chris.wight Posted 9 November , 2004 Share Posted 9 November , 2004 Hi chickadee2212. What is on-line are the Medal Index Cards, they are not the Medal Rolls. The MICs have a coded entry with each medal which will allow you to find that person's entry in the Medal Rolls. More experienced members of the Forum can give you a better explanation than I have. Chris_Baker Posted 9 November , 2004 Share Posted 9 November , 2004 There is a whole section of the forum devoted to this. Just look halfway down the main index page of the forum. Meanwhile, this page gives you a comprehensive overview of what the MIC contains and how to interpret it.
