Hedley Malloch Posted 27 March , 2015 Share Posted 27 March , 2015 Could some kind person tell me what these mean on a medal index card? The man was a reservist, landed in France in August 1914, later served in Mesopotamia. He was awarded the British, Victory and 14 Star. He survived the war. Both the number and the QS/A/966 appear in the Remarks box. The card is otherwise unexceptional.
headgardener Posted 27 March , 2015 Share Posted 27 March , 2015 They appear on many MIC's and are almost certainly an administrative code relating to the issuing of the man's medals, the meaning(s) for which have been obscured by the mists of time. rksimpson Posted 27 March , 2015 Share Posted 27 March , 2015 HI Who is he, looking at the card may give a better idea? But as said most of those entries in the remarks box are administrative notations and no one these days has any idea what they refer to. regards Robert
