Interesting 03 belt, but I can't find the owner.

Digging out some bits for a local display I rediscovered an 03 belt I bought several years ago for the princely sum of 50p.

On the reverse it has two sets of markings:- AVC 30056, and MGCHy 1 (on its side) followed by 769.

Now I'm guessing we have numbers for the Army Veterinary Corps, and the Machine Gun Corps Heavy (Tank Corps), and there the trail stops dead for my attempts at finding a name(s) on Ancestry have come up with nothing.

I would try a photo, but as usual the camera batteries are flat.

Any suggestions.....Ta
