I would appreciate help with interpreting the record of my great uncle.

James Wallace Snape Royal Flying Corps Military Wing No 2560

Attested at Darwen 12th December 1914

Joined on 14th December 1914 at S Farnborough

Discharged 22nd December 1914: not likely to become an efficient soldier.

Re-enlisted on 19th July 1915 Royal Flying Corps No 78784

I have attached a image of part of his record.

Many thanks

Tony

No 59 Training Squadron, then at Rendcombe, was disbanded into No 24 Training Depot Station at Collinstown on 15 August 1918, and your man was transferred from the first-named unit to the second. It looks like he then moved to RAF Halton.

I hope

If you need anything else from the form it seems to me that he received a pension of 5 shillings and sixpence (27.5 pence today) granted by the Ministry of Pensions for the year 11.5.1919 to 11.5.1920,I take it that he had an under 20% disability.
