As an add on to Mark's thread about the oldest, who is the tallest soldier you have come across?

The best I have seen is 83694 CSM Tom W G Morgan MGC who stood at 6' 3'', which by 1915 standards made him a giant!

There was a young officer killed serving in the Royal Warwicks. He was six foot nine inches tall.

I am off to work shortly but I will put his details on tomorrow when I have more time.

I wish I could rmember what book it's in, could be one on Bantams, but I have a book with a picture of a 6'11" Highlander next to a small man, WW1.
