oh, I don't know at what point this torpedo was disarmed, most probably the same day it went ashore by "someone", but defenitely not later when the working party from ABERCROMBIE was there.

Well, that's an good question I must say :-)

Edit: ah, I can answer your question, sorry:

An Torpedo Gunner from ABERCROMBIE was send ashore and rendered the Torpedo safe, primer and pistol brought abord the same night, while the Torpedo itself was recoverd next day, August 31st!
