Remembered Today:

Private Wilfred Howarth, R.A.M.C. - deserter

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what happened to him? Presumably it came to a trial.

Was there a black market in discharge certificates?

Private Wilfred Howarth, RAMC 46070, has a note on the medal card that reads
"M/C RAMC Res requests decision on forfeiture of medals 6.3.26 Civil conviction of 17.2.16"

A note on the front states "Medals not forfeited, Auth NW/9/4400"
