Can anyone help with the identity ? I have a silver war badge number 40 90 15, I think it may be my Grandads. William F McNamara b 1891 .Royal Naval Division Engineers No1409.

Army Pay Corps No 24573 and Royal Engineers No 20006.How come he was in three regiments ? Can I get any more info about my Granddads war service without paying or visiting Kew ?Thanks for any help anyone can give.

His MIC shows that he served in the Egyptian theatre of war from 9 September 1915. I haven't found any service or pension records yet.
