MarkMcM Posted 5 February , 2015 Share Posted 5 February , 2015 Hello All, So far, it looks like '14 Star, clasp & roses, WM (mic does not appear to mention Victory medal for some reason) & SWB. Anyone have any other bits on this guy? Many thanks in advance! Mark ~
dundeesown Posted 5 February , 2015 Share Posted 5 February , 2015 All three medals are on the mic it`s just a bad stamp thats been used,if you look above tha star you will see the entry for Victory and British War Medal. Gary

Mark ~ Is it to add value to a set of medals you have? have you searched Ancestry for his Medal Rolls, SWB Roll, Service and Pension records? Sam Hi Sam, No (and I only have his '14 Star). Have a copy of his mic from NA, but it's a slog to read. Have not done a service jacket yet. Just attempting see what bits & pieces might be out there on him.

rksimpson Posted 23 February , 2015 Share Posted 23 February , 2015 HI It is clearer on Ancestry and they also have the actual rolls, you can check there also for his service records if they have survived. Apart from those, the war dairy is the only other thing you may find on him - http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C7351998 and http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C7353828 and http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C7353830 regards Robert
