Fattyowls Posted 29 January , 2015 Share Posted 29 January , 2015 Thanks for this; I'd certainly not seen it. Even looking again at cartoons that are so familiar I still see new details. The man was a genius. Pete.

Alan, Here is a link to a previous GWF Thread on Bruce Bairnsfather, which contains a link to a free download of many of his excellent and very funny WW1 cartoons. http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=199123&hl=%2Bbruce+%2Bbairnsfather Regards, LF
MikeyH Posted 29 January , 2015 Share Posted 29 January , 2015 Still time to visit the Bairnsfather Exhibition, which is free at the R.S.C. Stratford-on-Avon until 15th March. Well worth a visit. Have managed to recently get the first five of his albums which feature the Western Front at low prices on Ebay. My daughter-in-law who works for English Heritage, was responsible for the layout of the exhibition at Stonehenge. This features the original version of 'a better ole', a very precious thing indeed.
