This young man, aged just 19 at the outbreak of the war, rose to the rank of Captain and was decorated with the Military Cross. He fought in some of the war's major conflicts before being taken prisoner in November 1917.

His imprisonment was not kind to him, resulting in poor health after release, this ultimately leading to his premature death in 1920.


We will remember them
