1/7th Cheshire Regiment – Anyone have Regimental History?

I wondered if anyone had the book the History of the Cheshire Regiment in the Great War by Arthur Crookenden? If so would it be possible to send me a scan or photocopy of the section relating to the Battles of the Marne/Soissonais & Ourcq (I think it is pages 150-53). I am doing some research on the 1/7th Battalion Cheshire Regiment during the war and I am, in fact, interested in their time in Gallipoli, Egypt and Palestine as well as in France. I am, however, concentrating on a soldier who died during the fighting around Soissonais & Ourcq and therefore some context of these actions would be really useful.

Also, am I right in thinking that this would be the correct war diary:

Thanks in advance

Oli

Oli,

Unfortunately the war diary is in 3 parts : WO 95/4323 WO 95/4630 WO 95/2462

The one you mention (WO 95/2462) only covers June 1918 to July 1919. The other 2 have not been digitised yet and can only be viewed at Kew.

I also happen to have the History on short term loan at the moment, so if the link that Graeme has given you does not suffice then send me a PM with an e-mail address and I will scan in those pages you want.

BillyH.
