I never fail to be amazed with the sheer speed at which seemingly intractable problems are solved. The history of my grandfather was similarly disentangled in a few hours, having defeated my attempts to solve it over years, so I can imagine your delight at all these revelations Mandy. Thank you all for your input on this post. When I started to find out about the photo I did not imagine I would not only discover where and when the photo was taken , but also find a photo of my granddad as a young man.
