The Dublin City Libraries & Archive link to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association collections is going to a failed page. Has the RDFA ceased to exist ?

Anybody know how to contact "MusuemTom" ?

Hi Tom,

The link that you posted still appears to be working for me.

Regards

Chris

Chris - the link in post #1 is to the Dublin Library page - on that page click the "Download the various catalogues of the collections." RDFA link - that's what doesn't work.

Thanks for that but I have no access to PMs, so could you possibly contact him for me and ask him if he could e-mail me at >

I'm trying to get closure on a situation involving an officer of the regiment who died during WW1 - a matter which might be described as - what can I say - "of current interest to the Irish". The RDFA seems not to exist anymore, and some specialist / regimentally knowledgeable / Irish genealogy input might move things on a bit.

RDFA is still existing and their official site you can find here: http://greatwar.ie/

Now, be ready of some waiting time before they replay (I think people who are looking after the web communication do not check emails every day). If you need something more urgent, you can send me an email c12803685@mydit.ie and I can see what I can do.

Kind Regards,

Timo

Thanks - Yes I have tried contacting via the website and directly by e-mail, without response. I'd assumed they were no longer active.

I'll e-mail you directly.

All,

Many thanks for those who have contributed to this thread and others on this forum. This has enabled me to find out roughly where my Great Uncle, Ernest Albert Woolf was killed in August 1917. If any one needs information I have a copy of the 1st Battalion's RDF War Diaries for March 1916 to September 1917, which I got from the National Archives (WO 95/2301/1), which means I cannot post it on line.
