Philip Barnes Freeman 1886-1959 was born, married and died in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. A dentist by profession as was his son. His attestation papers are online and reveal him joining the Middlesex Regiment as 45063 and 6871 in 1916.

Looked for a medal index card but only found one to a P.B. Freeman 2nd Lt. Worcestershire Regiment.

Cannot seem to connect his not being in the R.A.M.C. and other service.

Can any member help?

Looking at his service papers, he never served abroad , apparantly no medals issued therefore no card. Discharged as unfit, broke his left ankle, left it weak, unable to march / train etc. Ralph.

Many thanks Ralph for solving the enigma. Happy New Year.
