Taff E Posted 29 December , 2014 Share Posted 29 December , 2014 Hello all, I've being researching a WW1 soldier whose record states that, on 20 May 1916, he was "Retained at 1 Division Bomb School as an Instructor until 9 July, when he returned to [his Battalion]". It's the first reference I've come across for a 'Bomb School' and was wondering if any one could shed some light on this ? Rgds, Taff

Using the Forum ' Search Box ' in the top right - enter WW1 Grenades both British and enemy - having found that Thread - then search Bomber School That Thread contains a lot of information on Grenades, and there is also a section on the ' Bomber School ', photographs taken at ' Bomber School ' and a copy of the ' Bomb Throwers Instructors Certificate '. All this should answer any of your questions. Happy New Year. Regards, LF
