One of the soldiers is Wilhelm Steinmetz who was wounded during the fighting near Aiseau between 22 & 24 August 1914. Unfortunately the lettering on the Gibraltar cuff title cannot be seen. I did get new glasses... Put it down to lack of concentration when replying in our small 2-bedroom flat with rampant kids (1 x 12 and 1 x 10 and their 2 x mates) playing Fortnite in next bedroom, and visiting ma-in-law and my SWMBO gossiping loudly talking with neighbours in front room about what they did during the bayram (Eid al fitir)...
