Hi There,

Does anyone have any information regarding the names / army numbers of the Drivers & men attached to this company.

In particular I am interested in finding any info about John Waller (army number T1 / 161) who was driver with the ASC. We think that he was our Gt Uncle, but unfortunately it would appear that his service records were among those destroyed.

The Medal Index Card shows that he entered the theatre of war (France) on 14-10-1914, and that he was probably in the Horse Transport dealing with Transport & Supply.

It is possible that he served in the base Depot (10 Company ASC) based in Le Havre

He was transferred to Class Z Reserve on 10-7-1919.

His parents were called Harry & Martha Waller, and he married Florence Ethel Church on the 3rd August 1918 whilst on leave from France.

Any information would be useful

Thanks

Ron

To avoid any duplication of effort, see also this thread.

Phil

Phil,

I am very new to this website and indeed to trying to find any information from ancestry sites etc so I am trying to cover as many options as possible.

It goes without saying that your suggestion of the info held in WO 95/4188 will hopefully provide some information that we will find of interest.

Thank you for taking the time & trouble to help - much appreciated!

Ron
