Hi all,

I am trying to find out more about 6145 Private Joseph CONNELL, Royal Dublin Fusiliers. I am fairly sure that he was pre-war militia (4th or 5th Battalion) man, who served during the Great War in France. As his Medal Index Card shows he landed in France 10 February 1915 (must be to the 2nd Battalion). Next move is possible to see that he was transferred into the Labour Corps around October-February 1918 with the new service number 515331.

Unfortunately I am not able to locate his pension or service papers. Also I had a look at the Irish Times without any mention of him (now, some scans are so bad that I may missed his number or the automatic search engine did).

Any help would be great,

Noor

Reason why I am thinking that he was militia man... (But I can't find him on the Militia LS&GC medal roll as well  )
