Afternoon All

I was wondering if anyone had heard of the Central Political Recruiting Agency which was based at 95 Princes Street in Edinburgh in November 1914? I came across the name on an official stamp on an attestation form for 14495 Private James Anderson, Cameron Highlanders. Also on the form in the column for 'Did you receive a notice...' it is just stamped POLITICAL.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Patrick

Thanks for those links - very interesting. I think it must be to do with recruitment by a particular political organisation. I wonder how many men they got that way?
