Hello,

Can anyone help me in trying to find out any information about William Wicks?

I have this information from his Medal Index Card:

William Wicks.

Reg. No. 36004

23rd Brigade RFA.

Medals received: 14 Star, BWM, VM.

Qualifying Date: 19/8/1914.

1914 Clasp 28765 Clasp and Roses 14/12/1920.

I have recently come into the possession of his WW1 Medals. There is also a police special constable medal making up the set.

I am trying to find as much information as possible about William and would like to return these medals to his family if they could be located.

Any help you could give me in this quest would be much appreciated.

Just one thought: Could William have been a regular as I believe that the 23rd Brigade were possibly a regular unit.

Thanks
