This is my first post, so hope this is the right place to post this.

In homage to the 100th Anniversary of the First World War, I am seeking to identify and record the names and histories of the eighty allied soldiers and three civilians in my grandfather’s small treasured photograph taken at Versailles, on July 31st 1918. I would be pleased to hear from you if you recognize anyone in the photo or have any information relevant to my search. It may be too ambitious a project, but I thought I’d give it a try!

A more detailed view of this image can be found at http://www.leedickson.ca/versailles-31-7-1918.html which is the site I am developing for this project: only a few bits have been added thus far, including a bio of my grandfather, Private Ivan Carman Clendinnen of the 38th Battalion, Ottawa. I’ve noticed a number of photographs on-line that appear to be taken by the same photographer’s studio; this photo appears to be the earliest one I’ve viewed thus far.
