MAW Posted 6 December , 2014 Share Posted 6 December , 2014 I am trying to find the location of 2/5th Royal Warwickshire Regt on 8th August 1916. I don't think this battalion was in the Somme sector at this time. Please advise. Mark

GraemeClarke Posted 6 December , 2014 Share Posted 6 December , 2014 Hi WD says 3.35am. Enemy sprang a mine under our parapet at M.30.c.1half.4 and attacked with a small body of infantry. This was repulsed and identifications obtained from German dead. 9th - Battalion relieved by 2/8th Warwicks and proceeded to billets in Riez Bailleul.
