beresford69 Posted 5 December , 2014 Share Posted 5 December , 2014 Can anyone please suggest what the crossed rifle motif on this soldier's left hand sleeve indicates? Its been suggested that he was some sort of marksman. His name was Francis Alfred Baseley of 3rd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers. He was killed on 12th April 1915. Very grateful for any suggestions.
