Hello Everyone,

Just letting you all know that the British Army Senior Football team are playing the German Bundeswehr in our yearly fixture. At present we have won last years game in Germany 2-1, and in 2012 drew 0-0 in Aldershot. This year is the Commemorative Match remembering the 1914 Christmas Truce. If you are near Aldershot come and support this Historic event.

Drop me a message if you would like anymore details, as I am part of the Army FA Staff.

I will attach the poster.

Evo

Hello Evo,

I would like to ask you a favour, because I see you are on the Army FA staff.

I have searched for match results for the 1911-1912 Army cup. I am especially interested in matches played by the 2nd battalion from Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (they also called themselves the 93rd regiment). Ideally I would also like to see the lineups and any other records or accounts of their matches. No piece of information is too small.

I have been told that these results are lost. Is that really true?

Could you put me in touch with someone who can help me search in your archives?

With best wishes

Pehr Thermaenius
